CREAPLUS strengthens its technical training activities and consolidates its position as a value-added distributor and key player in the deployment of UTIMACO's advanced technologies for trusted and secure digitalisation.
Utimaco, the world's leading provider of secure digital business infrastructure, and CREAPLUS have agreed to build on the existing certified training services provided by CREAPLUS to users of Utimaco solutions and services in Central and Southern Europe. CREAPLUS, which also develops specific software for Utimaco's Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), will provide general training on the use of HSMs on a monthly basis, as well as in-depth solution-specific workshops. The training sessions are aimed at Utimaco solution integrators, NIS Regulation 2 essential and relevant entities and financial institutions. CREAPLUS expects to train more than 100 IT professionals per year in the use of Utimaco's various cryptographic solutions. In addition, they have developed their own training services for post-quantum cryptography, also based on Utimaco hardware security modules.
"Increasing the scope of certified training is an important recognition from Utimaco that it trusts our expertise and experience, as well as our ability to provide quality training to its users," said Mitja Trampuž, CEO of CREPLUS.
The two companies will support the growing demand for Utimaco's cryptographic solutions, which include hardware security modules that provide the foundation for protecting digital assets and transactions, by strengthening their training services. Organizations are increasingly looking to establish impenetrable encryption of data on-premises and in the cloud, and are preparing for the transition to quantum-secure encryption algorithms. There is a growing need to build and renew public key infrastructures for digital signatures and to protect financial transactions. With the exponential growth of IoT devices and the digitization of critical infrastructure, there is a growing need to protect them from cyber intrusions, as well as increasing requirements for software code signing and zero-trust solutions. With the vulnerabilities of today's encryption algorithms and the development of quantum computing, Utimaco's solutions are also increasingly relevant to support post-quantum cryptography algorithms, increasing organizations' resilience to "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks.
"We play a key role in ensuring efficient deployment, application development and a great user experience through the knowledge we pass on to our users. We enable users to make the most of Utimac's high-tech cryptographic solutions and maximize their value, resulting in a faster return on investment," added Trampuž.
Utimaco's solutions have been used for many years by a wide range of global and local credit and debit card issuers and processors to secure payment transactions, issuers of digital certificates and organizations managing large volumes of personal data. And with the migration of business to the cloud, these requirements are only increasing. Utimaco's solutions are the foundation for high-quality encryption, digital signing, including remote digital signing, and digital wallets. These technologies also underpin all other trust services that support the security of digital services, such as online shopping, software usage, cloud storage, long-term secure document storage, and digital services for government and financial institutions. With support for post-quantum cryptography algorithms, Utimaco HSMs represent a long-term investment in sustainable security.
CREAPLUS believes that better awareness and management of hardware security modules will not only reduce cybersecurity risks, but also help improve compliance with legislation such as eIDAS 2.0 for trust services in Europe, GDPR for data security (GDPR-2) and NIS 2 for cybersecurity.
