CREAPLUS Director, in his capacity as Chairman of the AI4SI initiative, spoke at the international conference "Law and Security in the Digital World - the Impact of Artificial Intelligence" in Montenegro on a panel discussion entitled "AI Odyssey in Cyberspace".
The AI Cybersecurity Conference brought together prominent representatives of the Montenegrin academic community, government institutions, cybersecurity experts and international partners. In the opening presentation, the participants were addressed by the Minister of Public Administration of Montenegro, Marash Dukaj, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro, Bernarda Gradišnik, the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, Aneta Spaić, and the President of the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro, Dragan Radulović.
In her welcoming speech, Ambassador Bernarda Gradišnik mentioned the Artificial Intelligence Act and the Cybersecurity and Resilience Directives (NIS 2 and CER), where Slovenia can help Montenegro on its path towards European integration. One of the successful examples of cybersecurity cooperation between Montenegro and Slovenia is the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Center in Podgorica, which aims to train public sector and critical infrastructure professionals in the Western Balkans in the areas of cybersecurity, cybercrime and international cooperation.
The thoughtful content of the conference, which brought together experts from the fields of law, security, and technology, provided an in-depth analysis of the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal system and on management and security challenges in the digital age.
Mitja Trampuž, CEO of CREAPLUS and President of AI4SI, highlighted the challenges of ensuring cybersecurity in the development and deployment of AI solutions and services, from large-scale language models to industrial solutions. He presented the activities carried out within the Artificial Intelligence for Slovenia (AI4SI) initiative, within the Association for Informatics and Telecommunications at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the role of artificial intelligence in the country's digital strategy.He also highlighted international activities involving Slovenian ICT companies and research, development and education institutions, such as ARISA, the European Forum for Artificial Intelligence, joint defense projects and others.
Trampuž also made a proposal to offer the Slovenian Guide to Artificial Intelligence 2.0, which he and his co-authors will soon publish within the AI4SI initiative, to Montenegrin partners as part of the transfer of Slovenian good practices.
The conference "Law and Security in the Digital World - The Impact of Artificial Intelligence" was organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Podgorica and the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro.
